Effects of mass transfer on free convective flow past a vertical isothermal cone surface. (English) Zbl 0747.76088

Summary: A study is presented of the effects of mass transfer on free convective flow, of a viscous incompressible fluid past a vertical isothermal cone surface. A numerical solution of the system, describing the problem under consideration, is obtained and the effects of the buoyancy parameter (a measure of the ratio of the buoyant forces due to concentration differences to the buoyant forces due to temperature differences) and Schmidt number on the flow field is examined. The obtained results are also shown in a graphic representation following by a quantitative discussion.
