Arciero, J. C.; Jackson, T. L.; Kirschner, D. E. A mathematical model of tumor-immune evasion and siRNA treatment. (English) Zbl 1083.37531 Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst., Ser. B 4, No. 1, 39-58 (2004). Summary: The authors describe mechanisms by which the cytokines IL-2 and TGF-\(\beta\) mediate the immune response to tumor growth and the added downregulation of this response by tumor cells. In order to study the potential for growth and immune escape of passive and agressive tumors, the authors develop a mathematical model. Moreover, the authors extend the model to include of siRNA treatment. Reviewer: Messoud A.
