Proceedings of the 3rd international conference, held May 21-27, 1994 in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. Funchal: Plenum Press. 273-278 (1995). This is a survey article highlighting the question whether the non-slip boundary conditions are sufficient to provide a well-posed problem for fluids of the differential type of complexity \(n\) which obey higher order partial differential equations than the Navier-Stokes equations. However, for simplicity the author considers mainly stationary flows with \(n= 2\).For the entire collection see [Zbl 0833.00032].
