Lucantoni, David M. New results on the single server queue with a batch Markovian arrival process. (English) Zbl 0733.60115 Commun. Stat., Stochastic Models 7, No. 1, 1-46 (1991). The well-written lengthy paper discusses the BMAP/G/1 queue where the arrival stream is a batch Markovian arrival process and this process is a generalization of the batch arrival Poisson process. Some new results are presented for this model. These results led to have simplified algorithms for computing many performance measures of queueing model. The author further claims that many of the results on queues can be brought under his mathematical framework.
