Lu, Chengbo On the logarithms of circulant matrices. (English) Zbl 1287.65037 J. Comput. Anal. Appl. 15, No. 3, 402-412 (2013). The logarithms of circulant, quasi-skew circulant and Hermitian circulant matrices are investigated. The particular structure of these matrices is then exploited to derive algorithms for computing their logarithms. These algorithms have the advantage of requiring less computations than the standard inverse scaling and squaring method. Reviewer: João R.
