Gender and Mathematics Instruction in the University Classroom. (English)

Recent research is described in which female university students did worse than male students in quantitative tasks but were also taught in a manner which disadvantaged them relative to males. Some comments on mediation of expectancies as they relate to gender roles, practical suggestions, and implications for counseling activities are outlined. (ERIC)
