Correlation between the education evaluation materials of basic mathematics and analysis of the error types in freshmen of a university. (Korean. English summary)

Summary: In this paper, we analyzed the correlation among scores of the mathematics B-type grade of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), the scores of the Mathematics Level Assessment (MLA) and the written test scores of the Basic Mathematics Subject (BMS) made by students. Especially, we examined the relationship between CSAT grade with the results of MLA and the results of BMS through a survey of students who changed their grades and learned about the reasons. In addition, we analyzed error types for descriptive problem solving in the BMS written tests.
