Authors’ abstract: Our concern is with the balance between the algebraic and graphical aspects of the mathematical content of our curriculum. Students and teachers, independently of their command of algebra, are easily fooled by what they ’see’ on a graph. In our opinion, the time is ripe for an ’incorporation’ of the lessons already learned from having computers in the classroom in a renewed analysis of our core curriculum.
