How four to six year old children compare lengths indirectly. (English)

Summary: This article will introduce one part of a research studying how four to six year old children develop an idea about indirect comparison of length, with the aid of diverse tools. In a qualitative survey the solution processes of altogether 40 children have been observed. Hence, this paper will show the system of categories and will also present initial results.
