Summary: Supervision of student teachers in their fleld experience is one of the practices that characterizes the work of many teacher educators. This paper takes up the issue of teacher education field experience and associated faculty supervision, drawing on the conceptual tools of Bourdieu’s social field theory and a graph theory network analogy to interpret data from a self-study research project. In this brief paper, one data storyline is presented to convey narratives of a teacher educator’s efforts to disrupt and reconceptualize the network of relations in teacher education field experience.
