Heads up: no teamwork required. (English)
Math. Mag. 78, No. 4, 297-300 (2005).
Summary: A team competes by first deciding individually whether or not to participate, and then the active participants flip individual coins. The team wins if at least one coin is flipped and all flipped coins come up heads. Without communication, there is a strategy by which the team wins with probability greater than $1/4$, regardless of the number of team members.
