Summary: The paper is a report of the author’s approach to formative assessment. It describes the steps taken during the execution of the project. It includes the pupils’ portfolios and an example of a mathematics lesson. The author is also describing and analyzing observations, the ‘pros’ and the ‘cons’ or better yet, the positive effects and sides of formative assessment and the troubles they have encountered. The main goal of the work and research was based on the portfolio, which is supposed to serve as a guide and an indicator of the pupils’ progress.
