Power of innovation: A historical view. (English)

In what follows I am going to talk first about the power of symbolism, then turn to the power of analogy. I will refer basically to examples/demonstrations from the history of mathematics. Yet, in order to justify what I am going to argue for, I will go on to illustrate how the history can be innovated to benefit the mathematics education. (orig.)
