Some examples are given, derived from recent research, of the missing transference, that is of the student’s non acceptance of personal responsibility for their own behaviour. It is hypothesised that this depends on various factors connected with the student’s refusal to choose for himself how to learn, leaving the responsibility of choosing to the scholastic institution and to the teacher.
