An Investigation of the Relationship between Logical Thinking Structures and the Ability to Construct and Interpret Line Graphs. (English)
J. Res. Sci. Teach. 31, No. 4, 323-44 (1994).
Using Piagetian tasks designed to assess specific mental structures, researchers investigate the relationship between logical thinking structures and the ability of students to construct and interpret line graphs. Results revealed that a significant correlation exists between the aforementioned variables. Suggests and cautions that only at certain cognitive developmental levels can students be expected to develop and understand line graphs. (ERIC)
