The ’private’ relation of the student with systematic programming and validation. (English)
Lemut, E. et al., Cognitive models and intelligent environments for learning programming. Springer, Berlin (ISBN 3-540-56580-9). 103-113 (1993).
The focus of this research is on what students (at university level) do when they have to validate an algorithm. Validating an algorithm is strongly related with building it. We propose a hierarchy of several categories of methods to construct a valid - or to validate an - algorithm. A general student’s conception is also presented - the mechanistic conception - which could give a general frame to better describe a student’s behavior. (orig.)
