relativistic gravitational collapse
Einstein's theory of General Relativity predicts the existence of spacetime singularities, but it is still unclear which is the nature of such singularities. In particular, it is unclear whether the singularities are always "hidden" to faraway observers (i.e. blackholes) or not. We discuss the stateoftheart in the knowledge on this topic, which is of key importance for a full understanding of relativistic gravitational collapse. (orig.)
