Summary: This article discusses mathematical culture, which is understood as a process of mathematical education where the three key aspects of concept, phenomenology and functionality, characterizing it as a scientific discipline, must be taken into account in the process of giving mathematics a greater emphasis in the educational system. Formal mathematics competence (CMF) is described for the three conceptual fields: numerical (arithmetic), algebraic and analytical, from the disciplinary perspective, using the algebraic conceptual field as an example.
