Although teacher education programs have increasingly incorporated activities to support teacher noticing, and these efforts have been found to be effective in the short term, little is known about how they influence what teachers notice during the act of teaching. This paper reports on the results of a study in which six student teachers were asked to document their in-the-moment noticing during mathematics instruction using a self-mounted camera. The data revealed a strong student focus to the participants' noticing, with some focus on the details of student thinking. Barriers to noticing were also identified. Implications for teacher education programs are discussed. \itemrv{~} \itemcc{C39} \itemut{teacher noticing; student-centered instruction} \itemli{} \end
