Summary: This article describes a series of activities for intermediatelevel students to explore ratio reasoning using a digital microscope. In the Common Core State Standards, this subject is addressed for sixth and seventhgrade students, although this type of reasoning should be introduced at a younger age. Thus, the authors designed this set of activities and then implemented them with a group of fourthgraders. The lesson was wellreceived and established a foundation for future development of ratio reasoning.
