A method is presented for pole placement using state feedback in singular multivariable systems described by rational transfer matrices. A procedure consisting of two stages for finding feedback gain matrices is given. In the first stage a feedback gain matrix for the polynomial part (fast feedback) is chosen, and in the second stage a feedback gain matrix for the strictly proper part (slow feedback) is chosen.
