Summary: We have considered a generalization of the basic Potthoff-Roy growth curve model by combining a sum of profiles model with an exchangeably distributed errors model. Analytical expressions for the growth curve coefficients and their standard errors are obtain specifically. An illustration where such a model is useful in practice is also supplied.
