Identification of immersed obstacles via boundary measurements.
(English)
[J] Inverse Probl. 21, No. 5, 1531-1552 (2005). ISSN 0266-5611

The authors study the inverse problem of determinig an inaccessible rigid body $D$ immersed in a viscous fluid, in such a way, that $D$ plays the role of an obstacle around which the fluid is flowing in a greater bounded domain $B$. They prove, under some smoothness assumptions on $B$, that the body $D$ can be identified by the measurement of the velocity of the fluid and the Cauchy forces on some portion of the boundary of $B$.
