Construction of symplectic submanifolds [after S. K. Donaldson and D. Auroux].
(French)
[A] Séminaire Bourbaki. Volume 1997/98. Exposés 835--849. Paris: Société Ma\-thé\-ma\-tique de France. Astérisque 252, 231-253, Exp. No. 844 (1998).

This a report on the work of {\it S. K. Donaldson} [J. Differ. Geom. 44, No. 4, 666--705 (1996; Zbl 0883.53032)] and {\it D. Auroux} [Geom. Funct. Anal. 7, No.6, 971-995 (1997; Zbl 0912.53020)] regarding the existence (of various sorts) of real codimension $2$ symplectic submanifolds on any closed symplectic manifold $(V,\omega)$. Author's summary: S.K.
