On the optimality of velocity averaging lemmas. (English)

Burgers equation with finite entropy is considered. The authors show the sharpness of recent results by Jabin and Perthame on velocity averaging of a weak solution with finite entropy dissipation. Similar arguments give bounds on the regularity of asymptotic finite-energy states for some variational problems of Ginzburg-Landau type.
