Bermúdez Edo, José D.; Beamonte Córdoba, Eduardo Comparison of stochastically ordered gamma survival curves. (Spanish. English summary) Zbl 1006.62088 Qüestiió (2) 24, No. 2, 251-266 (2000). Summary: A survival analysis using a gamma model is proposed. The theoretical conditions for two survival gamma functions to be stochastically ordered are obtained. These results are used to propose a simple method that allows the comparison of two populations when it is known that they are stochastically ordered. The paper concludes with the analysis of a unemployment data bank.
