On the numerical evaluation of the generalised Fermi-Dirac integrals.
(English)
[J] Comput. Phys. Commun. 76, No.1, 48-50 (1993). ISSN 0010-4655

Summary: In recent papers, {\it B. Pichon} [Comput. Phys. Commun. 55, 127 (1989)] and later on {\it R. P. Sagar} [ibid. 66, 271 (1991)] have dealt with the problem of computing the generalised Fermi-Dirac integrals. Both suggest Gauss-type quadratures differing only with respect to the form of the weight function used. This paper investigates the possibility of using the simple trapezoidal rule. By a suitable transformation of the variable of integration, it is possible to obtain high accuracies over the entire range of the physical parameters of interest.
