Dontchev, Julian
On submaximal spaces.
(English)
[J] Tamkang J. Math. 26, No.3, 243-250 (1995). ISSN 0049-2930; ISSN 2073-9826/e

Summary: A topological space $X$ is called submaximal if every dense subset of $X$ is open. In this paper, which is an enlarged version of Section 3 in [{\it R. A. Mahmoud} and {\it D. A. Rose}, ibid. 24, No. 3, 333-339 (1993; Zbl 0824.54006)], we characterize submaximal spaces using various topological notions. We study the connections between submaximal and related spaces as well as improve some results concerning submaximal spaces achieved by Mahmoud and Rose [loc. cit.].
