Some rigorous results on the Pauli-Fierz model of classical electrodynamics.
(English)
[J] Ann. Inst. Henri Poincaré, Phys. Théor. 58, No.2, 155-171 (1993). ISSN 0246-0211

Summary: We consider the dynamical system describing the classical electromagnetic field interacting with an extended rigid charged particle in the nonrelativistic approximation (the Pauli-Fierz model); neither the motion of the particle nor the field are given in advance. We give some preliminary mathematical results, namely: global existence and uniqueness of the solution of the Cauchy problem; existence and stability of a family of solitary wave solutions with the particle performing uniform motion; bounds on the change of the energy spectrum at high frequencies.
