The book consists of five parts. Parts I and II deal with theoretical foundations (construction of homogeneous denumerable Markov processes). Parts III and IV are devoted to the study of various properties of a Markov process (Martin boundary theory and Q-processes theory). In part V, the qualitative study of Q-processes and the construction of all Q- processes for a given Q-matrix is made. \par This book is a summary of the research results obtained by the authors in the recent years.
