This interesting book having a rather small size gives a clear view of a wide range of problems in general topology and their applications. The book consists of nine chapters: topological spaces, product of topological spaces, inverse spectra of topological spaces, spaces of closed subsets, space of mappings, multivalued mappings, covariant functors on category of bicompacts, Dugundji spaces, Milyutin spaces, spaces of partial mappings and spaces of solutions of ordinary differential equations. The book contains initial notions and facts of general theory, some special topological constructions and their applications in modern topology and other fields of mathematics. The authors give particular attention to the following three topics. The first includes dyadic bicompacts, Milyutin spaces, Dugundji spaces and zero-soft mappings, the second deals with covariant functors on the category of bicompacts, and the third gives an axiomatic theory of differential equations based on the theory of a space of partial mappings.
