Observers for discrete singular systems. (English) Zbl 0633.93025

This note is concerned with the design methods of observers for the discrete singular system \(Ex(k+1)=Ax(k)+Bu(k)\), \(y(k)=Cx(k)\), placing special emphasis on the problem of state reconstruction and minimal-time state reconstruction. It is shown that for a singular system finite poles may be moved to infinity by state feedback and the state may be reconstructed by causal observers.
