On the statement of the velocity distribution in the design of an airfoil profile using the method of quasi-solutions. (Russian) Zbl 0622.76013

The problem of stating the velocity distribution is studied for the inverse boundary value problem in designing an insulated airfoil profile in the potential flow of an ideal incompressible liquid. Using the results of G. Yu. Stepanov [Nekotorye Voprosy Mekh. Sploshnoĭ Sredy 1978, 5–28 (1978)], the form of the velocity distribution on the stagnation part guaranteeing the unbroken flow is constructed. From the multiple parametric family of such distributions, one is selected guaranteeing the maximum of the lifting force. The corresponding variational problems are considered. The method of quasi-solutions is employed in the design of a closed contour of the airfoil profile. Numerical results are also presented.
