Maurin, Michel
L'association du mesurage additif conjoint et des intervalles successifs. (Association of the additive conjoint measurement and successive intervals).
(French)
[J] Math. Sci. Hum. 96, 5-29 (1986). ISSN 0987-6936

In psychophysics, Thurstonian transformations may be usefully applied to ordered scales. They are also included into the measurement theory formalism: say the {\it E. Adams} and (INVALID INPUT)S. Messick's successive intervals method, Psychometrika 23, 355-368 (1958; Zbl 0085.141). \par Psychophysics and measurement meet again about conjoint measurement. This one needs a strict weak order structure. When responses are gathered by ordered category scales, in some cases the successive intervals method yields a strict weak order and then it is possible to come along the conjoint measurement application.
