Autom. Telemech. 31, 51-71 (1986). Summary: The paper presents a computer model called URFOR dedicated to short-term forecasting of city air pollution. The mathematical description of pollutant dispersion process is based on a distributed-parameters transport equation. A special wind forecasting procedure takes the topography and roughness of city architecture as well as the heat island effect into account. The model has been implemented on an SM-4 computer and tested on the real-data case for the Warsaw Metropolitan Area.
