Fiagbedzi, Yawvi A.; Pearson, Allan E. Feedback stabilization of linear autonomous time lag systems. (English) Zbl 0601.93045 IEEE Trans. Autom. Control 31, 847-855 (1986). An original method to reduce the feedback stabilization of time-lag systems to the stabilization of a certain set of finite-dimensional control systems is given. The method is based on the use of a so-called characteristic matrix equation. A design algorithm for the stabilizing regulator is given, which is illustrated by means of numerical examples.
