Numerical recipes. Example book (Pascal).
(English)
[B] Cambridge etc.: Cambridge University Press. VIII, 236 p. \sterling 15.00; {\$} 18.95 (1986).

The book was designed to accompany the authors' work "Numerical recipes: The art of scientific computing" (1986; reviewed above) and contains Pascal source programs that exercise and demonstrate the Pascal version of all the routines published in the main book. In order to ensure the clarity of the codes, each driver is amply commented and prefaced by a short description of what it does. \par All the required input data are printed in the book and for the programs that are not self-validating sample output is also given. The drivers in this book do not usually test all possible regimes of input data, or even all lines of the routines, because the purpose is to present in simple ways their usage. \par Demonstration programs in the Pascal language as listed in "Numerical recipes. Example book" are available on diskettes for IBM compatible machines.
