The object of this article is to discuss the p-adic convergence of Puiseux expansions of algebraic functions. In special cases, this problem has been settled by the author and {\it P. Robba} in Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 256, 199-213 (1979; Zbl 0426.12013). The author gives a review of this work and discusses the question of lifting Puiseux expansions in characteristic p.
