Design of tracking systems subject to actuator saturation and integrator wind-up. (English) Zbl 0532.93023

A new approach to practical design of tracking systems, under slowly varying set point, assuring zero steady state error, in the presence of constant but unknown disturbances and subject to system parameter changes is presented. The actuator saturation and the integrator wind-up are examined and general design guidelines are proposed for a solution to these problems. The proposed design procedure is illustrated by two examples.
