Scalar chaotic signal synchronization system based on extended state observer.

Summary: Based on extended state observer and backstepping design of the controller, a scalar chaotic signal synchronization system is proposed. The driver system which provides a chaotic reference signal is looked upon as a standard or standard-like system, then a nonlinear response system in strict-feedback form is constructed. The states and the unknown structure of the driver system are estimated by an extended state observer. The controller is designed via backstepping approach. The output of the response system is controlled to asymptotically synchronize with any scalar chaotic signal without continuous derivatives of the driver system with unknown structure and parameters. Both theory analysis and simulation results illustrate the validity of the scalar chaotic signal synchronization system.
