Jin, Lin Application of the variational iteration method for solving the fifth order Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon equation. (English) Zbl 1217.35009 Int. Math. Forum 5, No. 65-68, 3259-3265 (2010). Summary: The variational iteration method (VIM) is applied for solving the fifth order Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon (CDG) equation. We obtain the approximate solutions without unrealistic nonlinear assumptions, linearization, discretization or the calculation of Adomian’s polynomials. Numerical results are presented to verify the efficiency of the VIM.
