Summary: Existence criteria of three positive solutions to the following nonlinear first-order boundary value problem on time scales $$\cases x^\Delta(t)= f(x(\sigma(t))), &t\in[0,T]_{\Bbb T},\\ x(0)= \eta x(\sigma(T)), \endcases$$ are established by using the fixed-point theorem due to {\it J. Ren, W. Ge} and {\it B. Ren} [Acta Math. Appl. Sin., Engl. Ser. 21, No.~3, 353--358 (2005; Zbl 1113.34016)]. An example is also given to illustrate the main result.
