Summary: One studies the holonomic mechanical systems $\Sigma=(L(x,\dot x),F_i(x,\dot x))$ in which $L(x,\dot x)$ is a regular Lagrangian and $F_i(x,\dot x)$ are the external forces -- by means of the geometry of Lagrangian space $L^2=(M,L(x,\dot x))$ endowed with the canonical semispray determined by $F_i(x,\dot x)$.
