The semilinear Feng and FMV spectra. (English)

This paper contains a description of some work done in the last thirty years in the field of nonlinear spectra for nonlinear operators between Banach spaces by {\it M.\,Furi, M.\,Martelli} and {\it A.\,Vignoli} [Ann.\ Mat.\ Pura Appl.\ (4) 118, 229--294 (1978; Zbl 0409.47043)], {\it W.\,Feng} [Abstr.\ Appl.\ Anal.\ 2, No.\,1--2, 163--183 (1997; Zbl 0952.47047)] and other authors. A comparison of two different semilinear spectra of Feng is made and is illustrated with the example of periodic problems for differential equations. It is not clear to this reviewer wherein exactly the author's contribution lies.
