Solitary elastic waves and elastic wavelets. (English)

The authors introduce a new group of wavelets, which have the form of solitary waves and are solutions of wave equations for dispersive media. They are called the elastic wavelets. The inclusion to proposed group of the well known wavelets set ``Mexican hat" is substantiated. It is proposed to study the local features of a profile evolution of the solitary wave in an elastic dispersive medium using elastic wavelets.
