Gander, Martin J. Optimized Schwarz methods. (English) Zbl 1117.65165 SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 44, No. 2, 699-731 (2006). The author introduces a new class of Schwarz methods. The algorithm is based on the same classical method but it uses a pre-conditioner. The theory is fully developed with convergence and stability. Finally, experiments are performed for illustration. It is also indicated that this method could as well be applied in a complicated situation where the Fourier transform can not be applied.
