Stout, Edgar Lee A domain whose envelope of holomorphy is not a domain. (English) Zbl 1109.32008 Ann. Pol. Math. 89, No. 2, 197-201 (2006). The author presents a beautiful example of a domain \(\Omega\subset\mathbb C^N\), \(N\geq2\), whose envelope of holomorphy \(\Omega^\ast\) (understood as a Riemann domain \(\pi:\Omega^\ast\to\mathbb C^N\) spread over \(\mathbb C^N\)) is not biholomorphic to a domain in \(\mathbb C^N\).
