Lyapunov function for a bidimensional system-model in the glucose homeostasy and clinical interpretations. (English)

Summary: We study the model proposed by {\it A. M. Bica} [Studia Univ. Babeş-Bolyai Math. 48, No. 2, 13--20 (2003)], which describes glucose homeostasy. The first approximation analysis and a Lyapunov function are developed to obtain the phase portrait. Each result has a clinical interpretation which is presented in terms of the dynamical equilibrium between the glucose and hormonal levels.
