Kružík, Martin Maximum principle based algorithm for hysteresis in micromagnetics. (English) Zbl 1093.82020 Adv. Math. Sci. Appl. 13, No. 2, 461-485 (2003). The article refers to a mesoscopical level rate-independent model for the evolution of magnetization in large ferromagnets. The model describes pure hysteresis losses. For the time-discretized model necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are derived and uniqueness of the solution is discussed. Via spatial discretization one formulates an adaptive algorithm. Computational experiments in 2D are performed.
