Summary: The article presents methods of computer ship’s position plotting by means of comparative methods. A new approach in comparative navigation is the use of artificial neural networks for plotting the ship’s position. Two main problems should be solved during ship’s positioning process: compressing (coding) image and recognition (interpolation) ship’s position. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1052.68007].
